Aldersgate children are offered two unique experiences:
Sunday School at 9:30 J-Rock at 11:00
Nursery Aldersgate loves and welcomes babies! Children are cared for by a loving and dedicated staff. Infant's and toddler's experience in Jesus' House is safe and comforting. All staff have met strict Safe Sanctuary requirements and a wristband security system is in place to ensure your child's safety. Because we know consistency is important to an infant's comfort, Maureen Nacci, Aldersgate's Nursery Coordinator, provides love and care on a weekly basis. The nursery is located on the first floor beside the Sanctuary.
2 Year Olds Toddlers learn basic Bible truths such as "Jesus Loves Me" and "God Made Me" through interactive play and hands-on learning. The Terrific Two's Class is located on the first floor next to the nursery.
Preschoolers Building on the basic Bible truths, preschool-aged children are taught exciting Bible stories and will know that God has a great love for them. The 3 year old and 4 year old classrooms are located on the first floor in the wing adjacent to the Family Life Center.
Early Elementary Children Kindergarten through 3rd Grade will explore their faith in a personal way. They will discover what place the Bible stories have in their own lives. By third grade, children are taught how to navigate the Bible on their own. The Kindergarten classroom is located on the first floor in the wing adjacent to the Family Life Center. First, Second and Third grade classrooms are located in the Trailblazer wing on the second floor.4th and 5th Graders aka The Summit Seekers Preteens at this new and different stage of life are wrestling with the questions of what it means to be a Christian in today's world. Technically relevant large group/small group format will engage students in a fresh new way.
J-Rock at 11:00
The goal of J-Rock is to teach children grades K-5 how to worship. The message is based on the same theme as the adult worship service and brought to a child’s level. This will promote a unified connection with their parents’ worship service and spark conversation in families.
The children worship with their parents for the first part of the 11 am service and then are escorted to the chapel after the Trailblazer Children's Message.
J-Rock encourages kids to:
● Actively sing and worship God
● Pray with other children
● Understand church customs (symbols, church history, concepts, holidays, sacraments, and other confusing stuff)
● Give a non-monetary offering to God
● Have fellowship in worship with peers
● Take ownership of their journey with Christ
